Shipping
FREIGHT SHIPMENTS
- The $50 delivery fee is for the entire order, not per scooter. You
only need to choose this option once to have your order delivered to
your door.
- Scooters marked "freight carrier" are shipped by freight carriers strapped to pallets.
X-Treme uses R&L Carriers for 99% of all shipments going to 47 of the 48 lower states. Shipments to California will go by Yellow Freight or Central Freight (possibility FedEx freight).
X-Treme will choose the lowest cost carrier for each individual shipment to California. The carrier and tracking number can be found on the tracking number e-mail we send back to you after it ships.
Expect all freight shipments (except California) to go by R&L unless we contact you after the order is placed and tell you differently.
- If you do not choose to pay the $50
delivery charge:
- Visit the shippers website at http://www.gorlc.com/usa_map.asp to locate the nearest terminal if
you are not paying $50 for delivery to your door. Customers should be aware that in many states the shipper offers only 1 or 2 terminals and these could be 100's of miles away from the delivery address. It is the
customer's responsibility to determine the terminal location and
make arrangements for pick-ups.
- Any shipment refused at any terminal: Shipping fees
will be charged to the customer. Please, be sure you are located near a terminal and
have the capability of picking up your order if you are not choosing the
$50 door delivery service option.
- If you do choose to pay the $50
delivery charge:
- X-Treme Scooters will ensure that each door delivery using R&L Carriers ONLY will include a lift gate.
- ALL freight shipments must include the customer's phone number. If we do not receive the correct phone number
on your order, the shipment will not be shipped or delivered. The carrier will phone the customer to schedule delivery to the door.
- Freight palletized shipments going to New York City
will incur a $100 service charge in addition to the $50 door delivery fee.
There are no exceptions for this fee as all freight carriers are charging $100 or more for these NYC zip
codes:
- Freight palletized shipments going to Martha's Vineyard Island
will incur a $100 service charge in addition to the $50 door delivery fee for transportation on the ferry to the island. Shipments picked up on the mainland at the terminal are
free:
DHL SHIPMENTS
- Scooters marked "shipped by DHL" are free to
the lower 48 (contiguous) United States using Ground Service only.
- Transit times are as follows:


The purchaser should inspect the freight for damage upon
delivery, prior to releasing the driver. If damage has occurred during
transit, the purchaser must contact X-Treme
within one day. X-Treme drop ships the scooter(s) to Funtime's customers. The purchaser can contact X-Treme directly
by opening a support ticket and informing X-Treme that the purchaser is a Funtime customer.
Damage that occurs during shipping is not covered under X-Treme's warranty. The purchaser can process a claim directly with the carrier. If
the purchaser is not sure if the product was damaged through shipping, please contact X-Treme's
support department. Often X-Treme will cover damage to the body parts if it is damaged during shipping & reported within 1 day of receiving the scooter. If you have a problem, just check with X-Treme to see if it's covered by opening a
scooter support ticket.
Any freight shipments that are refused and/or returned unauthorized will be subject to the $35.00 restocking fee plus the cost of
shipping.
